RIIZE’s Shotaro suffered insults at a part-time job before his debut

Shotaro shares a bitter experience working in customer service

During a recent interview, RIIZE‘s Shotaro suffered insults at a part-time job before his debut, recounting a bitter experience and the maturity it brought him.

On June 16th, a new episode of the variety show ‘Salon Drip‘ was released with the idol and his member Anton as special guests, where they talk about their lives and working experiences before becoming idols.

When Shotaro was asked about his part-time jobs, he said, “I worked at a gyudon restaurant and also made lemonade.” He also said that during job training they were told to “keep our energy as high as possible while serving customers.”

He continued revealing that during a particularly busy hour at the restaurant he “was taking orders, serving customers, and handling payments all at once.” While tied up with his tasks, he missed something: “I didn’t notice a customer waiting behind me.”

“When I finally looked up, the customer stared at me and made an offensive gesture.”

The idol confessed his shock by this reaction, “I was stunned for about 10 seconds,” and explained in more detail the angry client’s steps to offend him and leave the place: “The customer took the receipt, made the gesture, and then left.”

This experience seems to be impactful for him as he continues explaining his current mentality and opinion about that experience: “When I think about it, maybe that person was having a difficult day or had something stressful happen at work,” demonstrating his maturity.
