YG Entertainment has built an empire with iconic groups like BIGBANG, BLACKPINK, and TREASURE over the years. These Kpop groups share something in common: Being one of the biggest acts of the Kpop scene in their respective generations. Now, the music agency is looking for talent to shape the future of the global music scene.
On July 22, YG Entertainment officially launched its “2026 YG Global Audition,” marking the agency’s first large-scale worldwide talent search in two years. This intensive initiative will run from July through December to discover the next generation of Kpop artists who will follow the footsteps of the previous acts in the company.

Prospective applicants born between 2008 and 2015 are eligible to participate. The aspiring idols must test their own talents in six distinct categories: singing, rapping, dancing, visual, acting, or a special skill before joining the company. Despite the project kicking off in China and Japan, they will expand their territories to the US, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, alongside other global regions.
