In a recent heartfelt post, Princess Eugenie officially announced the name of her newborn baby girl and revealed all the meanings and tributes behind this decision.
On August 17th, the princess updated her Instagram account with a new photo of her baby girl and her two boys two weeks after she was born to share with supporters her name, which includes a sweet tribute to her late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
Princess Eugenie started the message talking about the first days as a family of 5, saying, “We’ve had the most special, cosy and love-filled time” and revealed that she and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, named their third child Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank.
“Named after three people we love and admire past and present, including her Great-Grandmother who we hold close in our hearts,” she explained.
In addition, the princess also revealed that her name’s meaning comes from “part of English and Portuguese history, two places we love and call home,” addressing her new residency in Portugal, where her newborn was born.
Eugenie concluded, saying how her two boys get along with their new sister: “Augie and Ernie are already the best big brothers,” which is evident in the third photo of her post showing the kids holding and starring at her young sister.
