Prince William and Kate Middleton decided to skip the usual royal Easter church event again and instead took the kids on a low-key getaway to Norfolk. While the rest of the royal family attended the traditional St. George’s Chapel service, the Wales squad packed up and drove 100 miles for a different celebration.
It’s the second year they’ve skipped the event, and it’s totally understandable, especially after Kate’s cancer diagnosis, which went public in March 2024. The couple and their three little ones (George, Charlotte, and Louis) chose to spend Easter in peace, surrounded by the countryside’s calm and quiet. However, this doesn’t mean they aren’t into Easter at all! In 2020, the Prince of Wales revealed that they did Easter egg hunts and eat a lot of chocolate.
They’ve also hit pause on royal duties recently to be present for their kids during school breaks. They even squeezed in a snowy trip to the French Alps, and William had a son and father moment with Prince George at an Aston Villa match. And while they take some much-needed family time, King Charles, Queen Camilla, and other royals did attend the event.
