During a recent live radio appearance, Prince William moved the audience by dedicating a Taylor Swift hit to Princess Charlotte and talking about her ‘obsession’ for the American pop star.
On May 22nd, the prince of Wales made a live appearance on Heart Breakfast during his solo trip to the Isles of Scilly, where the host revealed to him that they had reviewed his playlist before asking him what he’d like to hear next.
In response, Prince William suggested, “How about some Taylor Swift?” and he continued explaining that this pick is inspired by his daughter, Princess Charlotte, and her love for Taylor Swift:
“Charlotte, my daughter, and Louis, to be fair, but both Charlotte and Louis are obsessed with Taylor Swift, particularly Charlotte. We went to see her on her Eras Tour, and it was amazing.”
The host, who understood the assignment, said, “This is for Charlotte; we know she’s listening in the car on the school run,” and played ‘Opalite‘ from the singer’s 2025 album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’ transmitting the message of the future king to his daughter through this song.

During this interaction the royal member talked about their attendance at Taylor’s Eras Tour concert in London until it turned to the singer’s wedding, and the host asked him, “Have you got an invite?” to which he responded, “No comment,” generating laughter.
The prince concluded, explaining, “I’m hoping and I’m sure there might be an invitation around, but we’ll see.”
