Prince Harry is the talk of the town after it was confirmed he will be attending the WellChild Awards next week in the United Kingdom. Royal followers are expecting a meeting between Harry and King Charles III to finally seal their long-time feud. However, a Royal expert has stated the actual reasons behind the Prince’s trip to the U.K.
The upcoming trip could mark a pivotal moment in King Charles III and Harry’s estranged relationship. The reconciliation seems possible after aides for both men reportedly held preliminary meetings in London and the Duke of Sussex’s upcoming trip to his hometown.
The Royal expert, Ingrid Seward, told Newsweek about Harry’s intentions to meet his father and reconnect with him. She stated that the King could help him regain some of the public recognition tied to his royal status.
“Harry desperately needs the stardust of meeting his father. I think Harry would be very keen to meet his father, and as a parent, I would think Charles would probably like to see him.”
Prince Harry hasn’t seen King Charles III since February, shortly after the King’s cancer diagnosis. There’s still a lot of uncertainty whether a reunion will happen between the two royals or the silence will remain for a couple more months.
