The London police detained a guy outside Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, May 2, after he allegedly tossed various objects through the gates of the royal palace. The police then roped off the area and used controlled explosions to destroy the devices.
‘Reuters’ reports that King Charles III and his wife Camilla Parker were not in the royal home at the time of the incident, and it appears that the person who threw the objects into the palace was a shotgun shell shooter.
According to Scotland Yard, the suspect was apprehended by police after he approached the Buckingham Palace gates on Tuesday, May 2, about 7:00 p.m., and tossed numerous objects into the royal residence’s gardens that appeared to be shotgun shells.
According to the news source Scotland Yard, the local government carried out a controlled explosion after seeing the man was carrying a suspicious-looking black bag. Experts recovered the shotgun shells so they could continue the investigation.
