Olivia Rodrigo is not throwing away the chances of working with Sabrina Carpenter in the future. During a recent interview with Dazed, the “Drop Dead” singer was asked whether she would consider collaborating with the fellow pop star. Olivia responded with a laugh before saying that she is open to all kinds of collaborations. While she did not confirm the possibility, her comments immediately attracted attention from fans who have followed the history between the two singers over the past several years.

The “Vampire” hitmaker also spoke about the musicians she would most like to work with one day. The singer mentioned PJ Harvey and Fiona Apple as two of her dream collaborators, explaining that she admires the honesty and originality in their music. “I think those two were just doing something so special and raw and unfiltered. I would love to meet and hang with them,” she revealed.
Interest in a potential Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter team-up remains high because of the public attention surrounding their rumored feud in 2021. At the time, Sabrina Carpenter was considered to be the “blonde girl” that Olivia referenced in the hit song “Drivers License.” Sabrina appeared to respond with tracks such as “Skin” and “Because I Liked a Boy.” However, the narrative seems to have changed now, as Olivia told British Vogue that she was happy about her peer’s success.
“I think she’s great. I’m so happy for all of her success too. I love the album she’s put out … people just get weird and clickbaity. It’s all love, though. I’ve talked to her many times,” she revealed.
