On November 12, HYBE’s ADOR officially confirmed that members Haerin and Hyein had expressed their intention to return to the agency. In a statement, the agency revealed that both members made their decision “after careful consideration with their families” and would now respect the court’s ruling by complying with their exclusive contracts. The agency also asked fans for patience and support as the girls prepare to resume entertainment activities.

This announcement came just weeks after NewJeans lost the trial in their exclusive contract dispute with ADOR on October 30, 2025. At the time, the group’s legal representatives insisted that they had no intention of returning and would appeal the ruling. However, that changed when Hyein’s father, the only parent who had consistently opposed contract termination, intervened. According to reports, he convinced his daughter and her bandmate Haerin to return to HYBE’s ADOR.

Hyein’s dad involvement went even further than persuasion. Reportedly, he filed a civil lawsuit against his wife over guardianship rights, seeking legal authority to help his daughter resume her contract with HYBE’s ADOR. Initially, the company first announced that Hyien and Haerin would be making their return to the company.

“After careful consideration with their families and thorough discussions with ADOR, the two members have made the decision to respect the court’s ruling and comply with the exclusive contract,” the message said.

“ADOR will do its utmost to ensure that Hyein and Haerin can continue their entertainment activities smoothly. We kindly ask for the warm support of our fans and respectfully request that you refrain from any unfounded speculation regarding the members. Thank you.”

Ultimately, all members of NewJeans have announced their return to the company, with the remaining three artists, Danielle, Minji, and Hanni, confirming that they would come back following “careful discussions.”

“Hello, this is Minji, Hanni, and Danielle.

Recently, after careful discussion, we decided to return to ADOR. One of our members is currently in Antarctica, so communication has been delayed, and since ADOR has not yet responded, we were inevitably led to release this statement separately.

We will continue to greet you with sincere music and performances.

Thank you.”
