NewJeans’ Haerin returns to the public eye with solo event after over two years on hiatus

The artist made her first official appearance since returning to ADOR and introduced herself as a NewJeans member

NewJeans member Haerin made her first official public appearance in approximately a year and a half on September 7, 2026. The artist attended Dior Beauty’s 2026 Rouge Dior on Stage pop-up store at Lotte World Mall in Seoul. As a brand ambassador, Haerin wore a black dress and a white cardigan.

The appearance also marked an important moment for the South Korean, as she introduced herself as “NewJeans Haerin.” This reportedly marked her first public mention of the group’s name since returning to the agency ADOR in November 2025, following a legal battle to exit the company with her fellow group members. The final verdict forced the five members to return to the company, provoking a pause of approximately two years due to the contract feud with ADOR. Despite that, her appearance quickly attracted attention from fans, with many expressing excitement about seeing her at an official event again.

NewJeans fans (known as Bunnies) gathered at the venue and welcomed Haerin with cheers, with some shouting, “We missed you.” She seemingly responded with a smile while walking toward the photo wall. Her return to the public eye has also fueled expectations about NewJeans’ future activities after the group’s extended hiatus. The silence was broken briefly on July 24, 2026, as the group celebrated their fourth anniversary with a set of new photos and videos. However, no official announcement regarding NewJeans’ future releases has been made.
