NewJeans extends Bunnies membership for another year amid lawsuits and silence on the group’s comeback

The group offers an extended membership to fans and sparks mixed reactions

The NewJeans team has announced that it will extend the validity of its official global fan club membership for eligible fans. On March 25, 2026, the group’s fan club manager shared that Bunnies Membership would be extended by 365 days for members who already had a valid subscription at 11 AM KST that day. The updated expiration dates became available starting at 12 PM KST. According to the information, fans do not need to complete any extra steps because the additional year will be added automatically to the remaining period of each eligible membership.

The announcement also explained how the policy will apply going forward. Fans who already had an active membership before 11 AM KST on March 25, 2026, will receive the extension benefit automatically. However, people who join after that time will not get that extra year. New memberships will still be sold as normal, and each new purchase will remain valid for one year from the date of purchase. In addition, fans can review their updated membership details through the membership section on the Weverse app or website.

Some fans welcomed the decision because it gives them more time to enjoy exclusive fan club benefits. However, the update has also caused mixed reactions online. Some fans have disliked the announcement due to the ongoing legal dispute involving Danielle, who was removed from the group and sued for $30 million. In a similar way, there has been no update regarding the state of the 4 remaining members (Hanni, Hyien, Haerin, and Minji). Comments shared by fans have suggested that NewJeans does not feel the same without all members involved.
