Wednesday Addams is one busy gothic girlie! Even before Season 2 hits Netflix, the creators have confirmed that writing for its third installment is already in its initial phase. In a July interview with Collider, showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar shared that the writers’ room is already working on what’s next. They’ll pause for the Season 2 drop, but a continuation is very much alive and kicking.

Fans have been waiting since November 2022 for new episodes, so this fast-track update is major news. Season 3 is expected to have eight episodes, and while it’s still unclear if Tim Burton will return to direct, his influence can be felt all over the project. Yet, there’s hope that viewers won’t have to wait as long as they have for the third installment of the series. Gough spilled the tea, saying:

“We’re actually in the writers’ room for Season 3. So we’re down the road a bit in the writers’ room, but now we, of course, stop to launch Season 2.”

With Season 2 set to introduce new family members like Grandmama Addams, there’s room for fresh vibes. And while we don’t yet know the full storyline for Season 3, Netflix’s confidence in the show’s early renewal hints at great future potential. Don’t forget to tune in for Season 2, dropping its first part on August 6, 2025, and its second part on September 3 of the same year.
