Kpop music has rightfully earned a spot inside of American culture with some iconic songs from BTS to BLACKPINK. However, the Kpop fictional group, HUNTR/X from Netflix’s “Kpop Demon Hunters” film has become the ultimate sensation in the United States with their title song, “GOLDEN.”

On July 9, HUNTR/X was able to break their tie with BLACKPINK by reaching the No.1 spot in the US Spotify chart history with 1,485,726 streams with “GOLDEN”. Now, HUNTR/X becomes the first female K-Pop group to reach #1 in US Spotify chart history, similar to how Saja Boys dethroned BTS.

BLACKPINK has been able to hit No.3 on the US Spotify Carts on two occasions with “Shut Down” and “Sour Candy” with Lady Gaga. Do you think BLACKPINK will be able to surpass HUNTR/X’s streams in the United States with their upcoming release, “JUMP”? Let us know in the comments.
