Meghan Markle‘s older sister, is suing to take the actress to court in the United States, alleging that the Duchess of Sussex made defamations about her that made her feel deeply hurt, damaging her morals and dignity publicly.
Previously, the 58-year-old writer Samantha had filed a lawsuit for 75 thousand dollars in March 2022, but this demand was dismissed in the third month of the year 2023. However, with the intention of having a judge accept the case, and despite her condition of multiple sclerosis, she went to court in Florida, claiming to have suffered “humiliation and hatred” from the actress.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were with Oprah Winfrey in an interview where the actress talked about growing up as an only child, and as a result of that comment, her older sister decided to accuse her of making “demonstrably false and malicious statements“, but the Duchess’ legal team explains that “such accusations are nonsense“.
In Samantha Markle’s statement to The US Sun, she said, “I think the truth stands on its own. I am optimistic and grateful that we have a judicial system that gives us the opportunity to present the true facts“.
