Gumbo, Netflix, and a holiday confession
Prince Harry gave the world some spicy honesty in Meghan Markle’s rebooted Netflix holiday special, “With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration,” which premiered December 3, 2025. While Meghan cooked her mom Doria Ragland’s Christmas Eve gumbo with Top Chef star Tom Colicchio, Prince Harry made a kitchen appearance and confessed something about his favorite Christmas meal. Apparently, Gumbo is his love language, especially before the fish goes in.
A mother-in-law moment that lives rent-free
Meghan shared that her mom always saves a special gumbo portion for Prince Harry. The mother of two teased that she uses a hotter andouille sausage, even joking she needs to hand him a towel before the sweating begins. Harry taste-tested her version and forgot about his filter on the show. “It is delicious. I’m not so sure it’s as good as your mom’s,” he said. Meghan’s jaw dropped while Colicchio let out a dramatic “Wow.” Meghan laughed, saying her mom will absolutely love him for saying that.
“Well, my mom will love you for that. You know what? What a good thing to say for your mother-in-law,” Meghan cheekily said.
Holiday cheer and Meghan’s lifestyle brand
The Netflix special features Naomi Osaka, Will Guidara, Kelly McKee Zajfen, and Lindsay Roth, offering viewers special advice on tree farm vibes, DIY gift wrapping inspo, and trays of holiday snacks. It also arrives alongside Meghan’s first holiday collection from her lifestyle brand “As ever,” featuring sparkling wines, hand-poured candles, fruit spreads, and golden California honey.
“I love the holiday season,” the Duchess of Sussex said in the trailer, which was dropped in November. “It’s about finding time to connect with the people we love, embracing traditions and making new ones.” With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration is streaming now on Netflix.
