“The pandemic continues to make things difficult, lonely or dangerous for absolutely everyone to varying degrees, but other than that, 2021 was difficult in completely unexpected ways” wrote Lorde.

“I was so sure that skipping the bad points (compulsive wasting time, internal panic, satisfying but empty validation cycle) would make up for missing the good points (feeling part of a community, listening to their sweet words). But I really missed it” she admitted.
Although shows are already happening, the rhythm is not the same as before.
“Normally, I would already be doing festivals and shows, walking around the world and touching their faces, so that probably contributes a little bit to the loneliness” she added.
