Lollapalooza Chicago is in full swing, with TWICE, BOYNEXTDOOR, and KATSEYE representing KPop. Running from July 31 to August 3, the festival will also have A-list names like Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Tyler, The Creator, and A$AP Rocky headlining. But KPop stans, don’t forget our KPop groups are performing on Saturday and Sunday.
TWICE takes the spotlight on August 2 as the headliner for Day 3, performing at 8:30 pm CT on the Bud Light stage. Hulu will stream their set at 10:40 pm ET for fans watching from home. The following day, August 3, BOYNEXTDOOR performs from 2:15 to 3:15 pm CT at the Lakeshore stage, followed by KATSEYE from 3:15 to 4 pm CT on the T-Mobile stage, also streamed on Hulu. Tickets for the Grant Park festival are still available, but for anyone who can’t make it to Chicago, tune in to Hulu and Disney+, as they’ll be covering all the magic. With TWICE making their first headliner appearance and BOYNEXTDOOR and KATSEYE adding extra KPop flavor, this weekend is turning into a KPop dream!
This is particularly strong for the groups performing. For example, TWICE’s set will come hot on the heels of their most recent album “THIS IS FOR” and the success of “Takedown,” one of the standout tracks from the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack. Similarly, KATSEYE had their own viral hit with “Gnarly,” a divisive hyper-pop track that managed to capture fans thanks to the girl group’s charm and performance. Finally, BOYNEXTDOOR is coming off strong from hits like “I I Say, I Love You,” which cracked the top 10 in South Korea.
