In LE SSERAFIM‘s interview with Weverse magazine, Japanese member Kazuha, a former professional ballet dancer, talked about her journey to become a K-pop idol. When asked what K-pop songs she likes to listen to, Kazuha explained how she fell in love with BLACKPINK’s music.

“I fell in love with K-pop the moment I first heard BLACKPINK’s music. I happened to see the MV of “Boombayah” on YouTube and I still remember how amazed I was when I first saw it. I thought, ‘What is this new world?
I also saw BLACKPINK perform live at their concert in Osaka’“.

Kazuha also explained how she was inspired to pursue K-Pop by attending BLACKPINK’s concert:
“When I saw their performance with my own eyes, I was so impressed and moved that I broke down in tears. Until then, I had seen many ballet performances, but BLACKPINK’s performance was great in a completely different way than ballet.
That’s when I thought I wanted to be on stage too.
The members of BLACKPINK are all very pretty, cool and charming, which made me feel like I wanted to be like them. Not the image of a pretty girl, but a cool woman“.
