During a recent interview, Lady Gaga confessed she was taking lithium while filming ‘A Star Is Born‘ and how she managed to recover from that mental breakdown amid her successful artistic career.

In conversation with Rolling Stone, the singer shares details of how her mental health was deteriorating while she was making iconic performances, winning important awards, and making successful projects.

“I did A Star Is Born on lithium”, she normally said and continued revealing that she experienced a psychotic break short after the shooting amid the Joanne world tour.

“There was one day that my sister said to me, ‘I don’t see my sister anymore'”.

“And I canceled the tour. There was one day I went to the hospital for psychiatric care. I needed to take a break. I couldn’t do anything … I completely crashed. It was really scary. There was a time where I didn’t think I could get better.…  I feel really lucky to be alive. I know that might sound dramatic, but we know how this can go”.

In social networks, fans expressed their admiration: “Inspiring to see your path to feeling whole again—those bold looks capture your strength perfectly!”, “I love her so much wtf I’m so happy she’s happy and healthy and in a good head space”, “i will cheer for her twice as loud tonight 🖤”.
