On September 3, 2025, Lady Gaga fans in Miami were surprised after Mother Monster announced she had to cancel her Mayhem Ball Tour stop at the Kaseya Center. The Little Monsters had already filled the venue when Gaga broke the heartbreaking news via Instagram Stories. She explained that her voice had been badly strained during rehearsals the night before and hadn’t improved during vocal warm-ups.
In the recently posted apology, the “Abracadabra” singer admitted it was an “agonizing” decision, but one she couldn’t ignore. Both her doctor and vocal coach advised her not to perform, warning that pushing through could cause long-term damage to her vocal cords. And while she wanted to be “hardcore” for her fans, the risk of losing her voice was too high.
The pop icon promised she’s working on rescheduling the show and will be back for her Miami fans. Meanwhile, Lady Gaga kicked off the Mayhem Ball in Las Vegas this July, with U.S. dates running through September 18 and global shows booked until January 30. Up next, she’s slated for back-to-back Madison Square Garden concerts this weekend and a Sunday night performance at the 2025 MTV VMAs.
