Since its release on June 20, Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters has taken the world by storm. With over 80 million views in just four weeks, it is racing toward becoming Netflix’s most-watched original animated film. The movie follows HUNTR/X, an animated K-pop girl group who slay demons while dropping bops, and audiences are eating it up.

Interestingly, the film’s record-breaking numbers aren’t the only thing that’s shining like gold! The movie’s soundtrack is also making moves on the charts, with songs like HUNTR/X’s “Golden” topping both Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. US charts. It’s the first time an animated group has ever landed the top spot globally.  Meanwhile, the movie’s boy group, Saja Boys, made their own splash with “Your Idol” and “Soda Pop” peaking at #3 and #6 on the Billboard Global 200. The entire soundtrack is killing it too, sitting pretty at second on the Billboard 200 and taking over the Hot 100 with eight songs.

Between the eye-catching animation and the addictive soundtrack, KPop Demon Hunters is clearly not just a one-hit wonder; it has actually become the most successful animated musical film in 2025. With its blend of Kpop, fantasy, action, and romance, fans are being pulled and keep watching and listening!
