The Award season became one of the greatest things that could ever happen to the cast and crew of Kpop Demon Hunters. The astonishing animated film took home two awards, including Best Animated Feature Film and Best Original Song.
On March 15, Kpop Demon Hunters, currently Netflix’s most-watched film of all time, captivated the audience with an iconic performance by the fictional girl group HUNTR/X. The competition for Best Original Song was tight as the nominees were “Dear Me,” “Sweet Dreams of Joy,” “Train Dreams,” and “I Lied to You.” Ultimately, Kpop Demon Hunters make history by winning the category.
Shortly after their performance, EJAE received the award for Best Original Song, making it the first Korean act to win the category. However, the public was disappointed that EJAE couldn’t conclude her speech, despite having achieved this amazing milestone. Either way, fans are celebrating the incursion of the Kpop scene into the global audience.
