Royal watchers, gather around! That’s because King Charles lll has captured the attention of fans, not with health issues (fortunately) but with the dazzling debut of his first official portrait since his coronation on May 6, 2023.
People Magazine spilled that the 75-year-old monarch revealed what seems to be his inaugural portrait post-ceremony. This shiny depiction was crafted by the talented Jonathan Yeo, and was later presented at Buckingham Palace to mark King Charles’ 50 years with “The Draper’s Company.”
The piece captures the King in his iconic red uniform of the Welsh Guards, which is a direct throwback to the 1975 regiment he had when he was still the Prince of Wales. What’s more, The King’s regal pose and is iconic look were brought to life again in this portrait.
