The United States President, Donald Trump, is allegedly preparing to invite King Charles III and Queen Camilla Parker to the U.S. next year. The rumors were confirmed later by a senior White House official to the BBC.
The upcoming visit is still without a set date, but it is expected to coincide with America’s 250th anniversary, though it will be organized as a separate event. The open invitation comes after Trump’s second state visit to the United Kingdom during his two-day visit.
Donald Trump described the trip as an “exquisite honour” and a reflection of the “unbreakable bond” between the two nations. Exceptionally, the visit will become King Charles III’s first official state visit to the U.S. since 2007, when the late Queen Elizabeth II was welcomed by President George W. Bush.
The reports suggest the invitation could also extend to Prince William and Kate Middleton. There’s no doubt that the United Kingdom and the United States’ bond has strengthened over the last few days.
