When it comes to Kate Middleton, the Royal Followers are always on the bright side of the story, as they consider the Princess of Wales a major reference in class in the British Crown. This time, Middleton surprises them once again with an emotional video.

The Princess of Wales reveals she is “deeply grateful” during her iconic appearance in the final film of her Mother Nature series, which coincides with her 44th birthday on January 9. The iconic Princess is seen taking a walk through the Berkshire countryside as she reflects personally on her own journey and healing over the past two years.

The appearance comes almost a year after Kate Middleton announced she is in remission from cancer. Ultimately, Kate Middleton and Kensington Palace broke the birthday tradition by sharing the moving film instead of releasing portraits of the Princess during her birthday.

“Even in the coldest, darkest season, winter has a way of bringing us stillness, patience, and quiet consideration. Where the stream slows just enough for us to see our own reflection. To discover the deepest parts of ourselves. Alongside the whispers in the pulse of every living thing, I find myself reflecting on how deeply grateful I am. For the rivers within us flow with ease, fears washed away, cleanse and purify. Come to peace with our tears and discover what it means to be alive. To be at one with nature; a quiet teacher, and a soft voice that guides. In memory. Helping us to heal.”
