Jennifer Lopez is leaving “This Is Me… Now” behind and stepping into something far more dramatic. On September 5th, 2025, she dropped her sultry rendition of “Kiss of the Spider Woman,” the title track from the upcoming movie musical set to premiere in theaters on October 10th. With Broadway vibes, the actor and singer belts out the John Kander and Fred Ebb classic with her own theatrical spin.
The “On the Floor” singer teased fans with photos of her mysterious character Ingrid Luna, wearing a glittering green gown with black bangs. In addition, she shared a portion of the haunting lyrics from the track “There’s only one pin that can puncture such bliss… Her kiss.” Talk about dramatic flair and diva energy!
The story follows inmates Valentin, a political prisoner played by Diego Luna, and Molina, a window dresser played by Tonatiuh Elizarraraz. The two bond over Molina’s obsession with a Hollywood musical starring his favorite diva, Ingrid Luna (played by Jennifer Lopez). This upcoming movie is the second adaptation of the 1976 novel with the same title, written by Manuel Puig. It is also based on the stage musical by Terrence McNally, John Kander, and Fred Ebb that ran from 1992 to 1993.
