In a recent interview for The New York Times, renowned actress Jenna Ortega revealed that she deleted the social network Twitter after seeing explicit images of herself on AI as a teenager and confessed, “I hate AI, It’s terrifying. It’s corrupt. It’s wrong“.
“I ended up deleting it about two, three years ago because the influx after the show had come out—these absurd images and photos“, the actress said about her personal Twitter account, confirming that the inappropriate content circulating on the platform was the main reason why she abandoned it.
The ‘Wednesday‘ star said, “Did I like being 14 and making a Twitter account because I was supposed to and seeing dirty edited content of me as a child? No. It’s terrifying. It’s corrupt. It’s wrong“, explaining her dissatisfaction with the inappropriate use of AI on social media.
Ortega confessed her reaction to seeing her teenage images edited: “It was disgusting, and it made me feel bad. It made me feel uncomfortable” and added, “that’s why I deleted it, because I couldn’t say anything without seeing something like that, one day I just woke up, and I thought, ‘Oh, I don’t need this anymore’ so I dropped it”.
