I.O.I earns fabolous first win on Music Core with “Suddenly”

The iconic I.O.I, who first debuted on May 4, 2016, are making huge waves in the South Korean music program circuit scene with their new song, “Suddenly.” The idols were able to snatch the crown for the very first time despite the huge competition nowadays, marking another special achievement for the idols. 

The show had an amazing lineup of performers, including Ejel, HEART OF WOMAN, Mighty Mouth, Queenz Eye, XODIAC, tripleS, FIFTY FIFTY, MEOVV, BABYMONSTER and BOYNEXTDOOR, showcasing why they deserve a huge spot in the Kpop scene. However, I.O.I stole all the attention.

As usual, at the end of the show, the climax is reached after the hosts announce the candidates for first place. This time, I.O.I’s “Suddenly,” ILLIT’s “It’s Me,” and aespa’s “LEMONADE,” were all competing closely for the top spot. I.O.I took the lead with a total score of 7,815 points, demonstrating strong digital performance and sustained popularity. Congratulations to the idols!
