After long planning and organization, HYBE ruins a birthday surprise for BTS‘ Jin from fans. This act is a tradition for the fan base, planning gifts for the group members on their special day, but on this occasion, the idea they had originally planned seems to have been ruined.
The intention was to issue personalized Jin-themed boarding tickets through the JINAIR airline as a collaboration; however, when HYBE found out about the surprise, it showed its discontent and demanded that it be canceled since the boarding passes included copyrighted material like BTS or ARMY.
To be able to opt for one of these personalized passes, you had to buy a ticket from the airline, and for this reason, HYBE decided to put an end to the fans’ initiative, since it is concerned that JINAIR will be the one who benefits the most from this project thanks to the image and influence of the Idol.
KONI issued an announcement explaining, “We now understand that HYBE directly asked the airline and the advertising agency to stop the project, as this was seen as an advertisement that benefited the airline due to Jin’s significant influence“, ending the initiative and accepting the company’s decision.
