The fictional K-pop girl band “Kpop Demon Hunters” (HUNTR/X) is still making waves worldwide with their title track, “Golden.” The song seems to be unstoppable as it survived and even dethroned Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” from the charts.
This week, the Official U.K. Singles Charts have announced that for the week of October 30 to November 5, “Golden” returned to No. 1, marking its ninth non-consecutive week at the top of the chart.
With this amazing achievement, “Golden” has also broken the record for the longest run at No. 1 of any song by an animated artist on the chart. The record was held by The Archies’ 1969 song “Sugar, Sugar” for 56 years. Congratulations to HUNTR/X!
