How Hudson Williams trains regularly to shape his physique

Heated Rivalry” actor Hudson Williams shared the workout plan he follows to maintain and grow his muscular physique. Speaking with Men’s Health on January 15, 2026, the Canadian star said he wants to maintain and increase the size of his butt and overall build. Hudson revealed trains at the gym about five times a week when not travelling, but still commits to at least three days when his agenda is busy.

“I want to keep this butt and get a bigger butt,” Hudson Williams revealed.

“I want to get bigger, juicier, thicker — I want to get big ass shoulders,” he revealed. “I want to put on 10 pounds of muscle.”

The actor focuses on legs and upper body strength

The actor, who plays Shane Hollander in Heated Rivalry, explained that his routine includes full-body sessions lasting between 45 minutes and one hour. Each exercise consists of three sets with up to 10 repetitions. He starts with Bulgarian split squats to target his legs, then completes an upper body routine including dumbbell curls, chest flys, single arm cable rows, overhead tricep extensions, and cable lateral raises. In addition, he uses dragon flags to strengthen his core.

Training intensifies ahead of new season

The Heated Rivarly protagonist said he plans to build even more muscle before filming the second season of the show in the summer of 2026. His goal is to add 10 pounds of muscle and grow his shoulders.

Hudson shared that co-star Connor Storrie, who plays his love interest Illya Rozanov, inspires him to train harder. He then recalled being told by the show’s creator, Jacob Tierney, to “look like he eats pasta” and like he “drinks beer” for his physique on the series.  However, he changed his mind after seeing other cast members develop physiques of “underwear models.”

“I want to get as big as he was in the first season,” Hudson said about his co-star. “I think that guy is just going to eat so much protein that he’s going to ascend, and he’s going to show up like an Olympia—Mr. Olympia.”

Heated Rivalry is based on Rachel Reid’s novels and follows two hockey rivals who develop feelings for each other and start having secret sexual encounters until they fall in love. The show can be streamed on Crave and HBO Max.
