Giselle of aespa recently addressed the attention surrounding her appearance by opening up about her long-term weight changes and health. During a livestream with fans, the singer responded to questions about her noticeable weight loss and revealed that her ADHD tendencies sometimes affect her ability to recognize hunger cues.

“Some people may already know this, but I have ADHD tendencies, and because of that, there are times when I don’t feel hungry.”
The weight loss happened naturally

When asked how she lost weight, Giselle explained that the change was not the result of any sudden transformation. Instead, the “Supernova” singer revealed that her weight transformation happened gradually over the course of ten years. She noted that people’s bodies naturally change over time and said she has experienced periods of both weight gain and weight loss throughout her life. Giselle also talked about how much public attention is placed on her physique, admitting that she does not always understand why people focus so heavily on her physical changes.
She explains how ADHD affects her appetite
Giselle also revealed that her ADHD tendencies can sometimes influence her relationship with eating. According to the singer, there are moments when she simply does not feel hungry, making it difficult to maintain consistent habits. However, she shared that she is currently training to gain weight healthily, after revealing that she sometimes lacks energy.
“These days, I’m trying to put on weight healthily because it’s true that I’m lacking energy.”
