Kwon Ji-yong, better known as G-Dragon, is still making huge achievements despite being one of the pioneers of the Kpop scene. The idol has received the Order of Cultural Merit Jade Crown, which also brought two new records to his well-established career.
On October 23, the idol was presented with the award at the 16th Korea Popular Culture & Arts Awards in Seoul. G-Dragon becomes the first Kpop idol and the youngest recipient of the prestigious award, making it a huge achievement in his career.
During his heartfelt speech, G-Dragon reflected on his artistic journey since he was a child dreaming of becoming what he is now. The heartwarming speech really resonated among the attendees who located the idol during the ceremony.
“Since I was six, I’ve kept the same dream. I once admired senior artists as “stars in the night,” and now I feel I have become one myself.”
