Former Prince Andrew says an alleged stalker chased his vehicle near his home

Former Prince Andrew has provided a witness statement describing an encounter with a man the former royal accused of stalking near his residence on the Sandringham estate. Andrew, who is currently 66 years old, said the incident happened on May 6, 2026, while he was walking his dogs. The accused man, 39-year-old Alex Jenkinson, is reportedly homeless and has denied the allegations connected to the case.

According to the former prince’s statement, he first noticed an unfamiliar vehicle close to his home and initially believed it belonged to a paparazzi group. He later saw a man wearing a face covering who seemed to be out of place. Andrew said the man recognized him and began sprinting after his vehicle. Andrew told the court that the encounter caused him to fear possible “unlawful violence.” Suffolk Police is seeking a civil Stalking Protection Order against Jenkinson.

The trial is expected to begin on December 21, 2026, after an earlier delay related to concerns about Jenkinson’s mental health. The defendant is reportedly homeless and has ADHD, as per his lawyer. However, she did not provide documentation to prove these conditions. Former Prince Andrew is separately facing legal scrutiny due to his ties to sex trafficker and pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. The estranged royal was arrested on February 19, 2026, on suspicion of misconduct in public office involving allegations that he improperly shared information while working as a British government envoy. On October 17, 2025, he gave up all his royal titles and has kept a lower profile, disappearing from royal engagements and events.
