Former NCT member, Taeil, has been in the eye of the hurricane for a while after he was convicted and detained in court for aggravated rape. The former idol has received the same prison sentence in his appeal trial, shocking K-Netizens.
On October 17, the Seoul High Court’s Criminal Division 11-3 (Judges Park Young Joo, Park Jae Woo, and Jung Moon Kyung) upheld the previous three years and six months prison sentence. Taeil’s efforts were in vain after he appealed the sentence under the Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes and Protection of Victims.
In addition, Taeil must complete 40 hours of a sexual violence treatment program and impose a five-year employment restriction at institutions related to children, adolescents, and persons with disabilities. Stay tuned for more news on Taeil’s sentence.
