Recent reports announce ENHYPEN‘s Jungwon donated 100 million won in support of underprivileged children on his birthday, which earned him recognition for his positive influence in the community.

On February 9th KST, the Community Chest of Korea announced the K-Pop idol joined the ‘Honor Society,’ which is the organization’s high-value individual donor program, as its 3,886th member due to his recent donation of 100 million KRW.

Jungwon reportedly celebrated his 22nd birthday by giving back to the society all the love he has received from all his fans with a heartfelt donation, which he intended to continue consistently every year, so the pledged amount will be distributed over five years, with 20 million KRW donated annually to support underprivileged children and adolescents, besides overall welfare projects.

“As a K-pop artist, I have received so much love, and I’ve always believed that the attention and support I receive are never something to take for granted. Through that, I naturally became more interested in the rights and environments that many people rightfully deserve.”

“I hope my small act of sharing can become a strong source of support and courage for children who are unable to enjoy their basic rights due to environmental barriers.”

On social networks, fans react to this act of the EHYPEN member with comments like: “aww jungwon 🥹 his donation will help a lot of children & youth,” “Best boy, Jungwon!!” “we do not deserve someone as kind-hearted as jungwon,” “the nations angel has done it again,” “I love you so much yang jungwon 😭❤️.”
