ENHYPEN’s Jay became the trending topic on different social media platforms after he clocked a “Sasaeng.” This Korean term refers to an obsessive fan who invades the privacy of Korean idols. The idol clocked him during a live broadcast on Weverse.
The uncomfortable incident occurred on October 10 KST, while Jay was having a great time with his fans, sharing stories about his recent activities. The livestream kept getting cut off because someone kept calling his phone, and Jay was visibly annoyed; that’s why he decided to send a blunt message during the broadcast.
“I don’t know who you are, but please stop calling me. I don’t know who you are or what you want…It’s really bothering me…So stop, seriously.”
A few minutes later, Jay started a new live broadcast to talk with the fans once again, calling out the “sasaeng”:
“You’re still watching this, right? I don’t know who you are, and I don’t even care about you. But if you keep calling like this, it’s really bothering me. Congratulations if you got what you wanted. But if you keep doing this, I’ll pick up your call and put it on a speaker phone, and I’ll run it out in my live.”
