Singer and composer EJAE, the voice behind KPop Demon Hunters’ Rumi, made a glamorous return to Korea after conquering global audiences! On October 15, 2025, she held her first-ever press conference at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall, proudly sharing how her journey as an SM Entertaiment trainee took her to the massive success of KPop Demon Hunters years after. “It still doesn’t feel real,” she said, thanking fans for all the love.

But what really caught everyone’s attention was her wish list of dream collaborations. While EJAE kept it open and revealed she’d like to work with many artists, there were three main names she revealed: aespa, BTS, and Jungkook. This proves that the KPop Demon Hunters singer is all about teaming up with singers who have great vocal capabilities, just like her own.

“I’d love to work with aespa, both writing and composing. I think we’d really fit well together. I also love BTS, they’re incredible, and Jungkook is such an amazing singer. It would be fun to collaborate. Honestly, there are so many artists I’d love to work with,” she expressed.

EJAE opened up about her long road to success, revealing that the struggles of her trainee years were worth every second. “Everything happens for a reason,” she said, reflecting on how rejection shaped her resilience. Even when she didn’t debut as an idol, she kept creating music until she finally landed the role for Rumi’s singing voice on KPop Demon Hunters. Subsequently, the track “Golden,” from the film’s soundtrack, became a global sensation, partly due to her powerful vocals.
