During a recent interview, CORTIS talked about the impact of BLACKPINK‘s Rosé and ‘KPop Demon Hunters‘ and their feelings about debuting in this K-Pop era.
In conversations with iD Magazine, the boys were asked about how it feels to debut in a moment where the Grammy Awards ceremony nominates ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ song ‘GOLDEN‘ and Rosé’s ‘APT.‘ making a place for this genre in the global music industry.
In response, James expresses his excitement for living in these wonderful times for the genre growing worldwide and pride for his colleagues who are making history and showing the Korean talent worldwide.
“It’s exciting. K-pop has reached such a global scale, and debuting now, it feels like we have so many resources at our disposal. At the same time, there are so many talented artists out there, so finding and expressing our own unique sound has been a big challenge. Exciting, but a little pressure too.”
