Previously, we reported that Billie Eilish was set to perform at the 2024 Paris Olympics closing ceremony along with hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg and rockstars Red Hot Chili Peppers. Shortly after this news was unveiled, Charli XCX took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to hint at a possible joint performance with Billie Eilish, making fans buzz with excitement.
The “Girl, so confusing” singer retweeted a post from Pop Crave, which confirmed Billie Eilish was performing at the event. In a cheeky move, Charli XCX typed “… you wanna guess 😉” on her post, making users think that she would take the stage with Billie Eilish to perform their recent remix track “Guess,” dropped on August 1, 2024.
However, the “360” hitmaker tweeted one last time, saying “lololololol sry just kidding,” confirming that her previous tweet was a joke. Meanwhile, Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg, and Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to perform this Sunday at the Olympics closing ceremony in a mix of pre-recorded and live performances in Los Angeles. The city will be in charge of hosting the next Olympic Games from July 14 to July 30, 2028.
