ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo is proving that even military service can’t dim his star power! The singer and actor, currently serving in the Republic of Korea Army Band since July 28, 2025, recently made headlines for hosting the APEC Summit Welcome Dinner Cultural Performance held on October 30 at the Lahan Select Hotel’s Grand Ballroom in Gyeongju. The crowd was packed with government officials and business leaders, all of whom were stunned by Cha Eunwoo’s hosting charm.
According to reports from South Korean media outlets, the APEC Summit Preparatory Planning Committee formally requested Cha Eunwoo’s participation from the Ministry of National Defense earlier this month. And while it’s uncommon for men in the military to host an event, the Ministry still approved of it due to the event’s value in promoting national interests and civil-military cooperation.
The evening was further elevated with BIGBANG’s G-Dragon performing as a special guest, in addition to BTS’ RM, who gave a powerful speech about arts and creative people.
