Dressed in a plain white shirt and pants, he gave fans a thumbs-up, a salute, and a smile. He posed for group photos with fellow ASTRO members MJ, Jinjin, Sanha, and Rocky. Their official X account posted the snapshot with a heartfelt caption thanking fans for loving Cha Eunwoo and promising he will return safely.
The night before, the actor and singer went live on YouTube for one last chat with his fans. He called the experience “surreal” and joked that he hadn’t had such short hair since he was a toddler. He also wished for everyone’s well-being and promised to come back strong. He also thanked fans for sticking by him and showing love and support throughout his career.
Before reporting for duty, the astro ember had a wholesome day! He shared photos of his fresh buzzcut, his dog beside him at the barber, and his last meal with close friends. Though he didn’t add a caption, he left a salute to say goodbye to civilian life and to start his military era. According to his agency, Fantagio, Cha Eunwoo will be part of the Army’s brass band after completing five weeks of basic training. He’s expected to finish service on January 27, 2027.
