The Golden Disc Awards are probably one of the biggest events in the Kpop scene, as the annual South Korean music awards ceremony that recognizes outstanding achievements in the local music industry. From rookie groups to legends, all receive the spotlight they deserve, and Cha Eunwoo is ready to bring the good news!
On July 18, the event’s organizers announced, along with last year’s MC, Cha Eunwoo, the date and venue. The 40th Golden Disc Awards will be held on January 10, 2026, at the Taipei Dome, which is the largest indoor venue in Taipei, accommodating up to 40,000 people.
This is the seventh time that the Golden Disc Awards will be held overseas, following past ceremonies in Osaka, Japan; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Beijing, China; Bangkok, Thailand; Jakarta, Indonesia; and most recently, Fukuoka, Japan. The 40th anniversary of the awards promises to be one of the most ambitious yet in the Kpop scene!
