The monarch’s desires, though, are not just about his or her title but also about authority.

Only two months remain before King Charles III will be formally crowned as the new ruler of the United Kingdom, and social media is rife with confusion over the new rules Buckingham Palace is enforcing to honor the King’s wife.

It has been established, amidst all the rumors, that Camilla will govern as a legitimate queen, not a queen consort. Parker herself expressed this intention, expressing her desire to be treated with the same respect and status as the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Given that it is a blatant request from Camilla Parker and not an obligation in the traditional sense, this choice has caused considerable controversy among the public. This is due to the fact that Charles III should be recognized as the only legitimate monarch, not his wife.
