Shakira, Madonna, and BTS bring music hype
Shakira has already become a World Cup staple, especially after 2010’s ”Waka Waka.” In addition, she is connected to this year’s World Cup through “Dai Dai,” her official tournament song with Burna Boy. Meanwhile, Madonna is gearing up for a big moment with the release of her new album “Confessions II,” which is scheduled for July 3, 2026. Finally, BTS is promoting their latest album “ARIRANG” with a world tour that began in South Korea before reaching the United States on April 25, 2026.
The show supports a global education fund
The halftime show is being curated by Global Citizen and Coldplay’s Chris Martin. The event will help raise money for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to collect $100 million for children’s education and football access worldwide. FIFA also announced that other artists such as Katy Perry, Future, Tyla, LISA, and Anitta will perform during opening events in the United States, Mexico, and Canada starting on June 12, 2026.
