BTS leader RM has revealed that he lost 15 kilograms (around 33 pounds) after completing his military service. His impressive weight loss update came as the boy group prepares for their upcoming album “ARIRANG,.” The project is set for release on March 20, 2026, marking BTS’ first group return in over three years and nine months. RM shared that he has been focusing on improving his physical condition before stepping back on stage.
On February 21, 2026, RM posted an update on Weverse showing his current weight of 68.8 kilograms. He accompanied the message with a short motivational message alongside the image, saying, “It happens when you do it.” Fellow member Jin responded with surprise, calling the achievement “amazing.” Meanwhile, RM explained that he weighed 83.8 kilograms while serving as a sergeant in the military. Since his discharge in June 2025, he has worked out to obtain his preferred physique.
RM: “If you do it, it can be done.”
RM: “When I was a sergeant it was 83.8..”
Jin: “Daebak” (Wow/Amazing)
Similarly, other members have also spoken about physical changes after military service. V mentioned adjusting his training routine, and Jungkook recently shared a late-night workout photo. All these adjustments come as BTS is gearing up for their album and world tour on April 9, 2026, at Goyang Stadium. The tour will include 82 shows across 34 cities, marking a major return for the global group.
