BTS’ upcoming comeback with their fifth full album, “ARIRANG,” has made big waves in the music industry. The idols have planned tens of surprises for all the fans, better known as ARMY, in South Korea, including a special performance at Gwanghwamun.

BTS will perform for one hour as part of their ‘BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG event,’ premiering songs from their fifth full-length album, ‘ARIRANG.’ The show will be hold upong the album release and streamed globally via Netflix.

However, several rumors were suggesting that the performance duration had been shortened due to restrictions from the Seoul Metropolitan Government. ARMY inmediately demanded a statement to clear the air on the ongoing situation.

On February 28, BigHit Music, BTS’s music agency, released a short statement to dismiss the rumours about the Seoul Metropolitan Government; instead, they explained that the length of the performance is exclusively decided by the music agency.

“The Seoul Metropolitan Government never limited the duration of BTS’s Gwanghwamun Square performance to one hour. The length of the performance was decided by Big Hit Music. The unique characteristics of an outdoor space, audience safety, site control, convenience of public transportation, and late-night noise levels.”
