The publication surpassed a previous record held by a post with the Stranger Things cast, which had received 4.54 million likes. Taking third place, the Wednesday series follows with around 3.9 million likes.
The announcement introduced two projects. The first one is a global livestream titled BTS The Comeback Live | Arirang. The boy group will hold a concert on March 21, 2026, at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul to celebrate the release of their fifth studio album, “ARIRANG,” which is slated for a March 20, 2026, release. While tickets are required for in-person attendance, Netflix will stream the event at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Finally, the second project is a documentary titled “BTS: The Return,” directed by Bao Nguyen, which premieres on March 27, 2026. It will follow RM, Jin, Suga, j hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook as they reunite after completing military service. Jin and J-Hope were discharged in 2024, while RM, V, Jimin, Jungkook, and Suga completed service in June 2025. This film documents their first meetings, creative discussions, and preparations for the “ARIRANG” world tour 2026 to 2027, and the creation process for the album of the same name.
