KATSEYE, KPop Demon Hunters, and BLACKPINK’s Rosé just turned music’s biggest night into a K-pop milestone! The Grammy nominations were announced via livestream this November 7, 2025, and these K-pop and K-pop-adjacent names have the possibility to take the coveted award home.
First, KATSEYE is nominated for Best New Artist alongside Olivia Dean, The Marias, Addison Rae, Sombr, Leon Thomas, Alex Warren, and Lola Young. In addition, the pop girl group was also nominated for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance Award thanks to their hit “Gabriella.” KATSEYE will be fighting for the award against BLACKPINK’s Rosé, who just became the first and only female K-pop idol with a Grammy nomination, and the first Korean artist to earn nods in two of the general field categories in the same year, all thanks to “APT.”
Topping things off, KPop Demon Hunters made a big splash in the Grammy nominations, certifying its status as a hit soundtrack. Its main single, “Golden,” received nods in Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. With this EJAE, who is the singing voice of Rumi in the film, becomes the first Korean-American female songwriter to be nominated.
