BLACKPINK’s LISA, Katy Perry and Anitta deliver memorable performances at the 2026 World Cup Opening Ceremony

Global stars brought music, energy and international spirit to the opening celebration in Los Angeles

BLACKPINK’s LISA was among the standout performers at the 2026 FIFA World Cup USA Opening Ceremony on Friday, June 12, at Los Angeles Stadium in Inglewood. Representing the international spirit of the tournament, the Thai Kpop star joined Brazilian singer Anitta and Nigerian artist Rema for an explosive performance of their 2026 World Cup track, “Goals.” Wearing a white outfit and backed by dancers, the trio showed confidence and stage presence, proving they had one of the night’s most memorable moments.

Katy Perry also played an important role in the opening celebration as she represented her California roots before the United States played its first match against Paraguay. The singer delivered the live debut of “Wonder,” a track from her 2024 album 143. She was joined by 10-year-old Norwegian singer Tius Luka, whose appearance added an emotional touch to the performance. Tius provides vocals to the original recorded track on Katy Perry’s album, making this performance a full-circle moment.

Earlier in the evening, Future and Tyla energized the audience with their World Cup song “Game Time.” Other performers, including Dan + Shay and Purahei Soul, helped transform the opening ceremony into a festivity packed with international talent. Meanwhile, BTS, Madonna, and Shakira are set to headline the first 2026 World Cup Final halftime show alongside fellow superstars BTS and Madonna, marking the final music moment of the soccer tournament.
